Director, Youth Program for Howard County

Falgun started as an adult player in 2008, he started helping Murali and Vijay with organizing HCCL as a member of a Rules Committee. He saw Murali, Vijay and Viral working with kids at Meadowridge baseball ground in 2012 summer, that inspired him to work on building the youth program for Howard County Kids and HCCL Huskies Youth program was born.

Falgun’s leadership skills and dynamic personality has helped grow youth Cricket in the area and attracted the professional US players like Adil Bhatti and Sunny Sohal to get involved with HCCL Youth programs. His great relationship with other DMV area leagues has helped Cricket growth and participation in the area.

Murali is very passionate about cricket. He has been playing cricket in Howard County since 2007. His drive to organize friendly games paved the way to formation of HCCL along with his friends. Murali is the liaison for the Adult cricket program with the Howard county recreation and parks.

Murali has been instrumental in the growth of cricket in Howard County.

Cricket has been his life since childhood days. The game has given him much pleasure and joy throughout his life and his passion for the game got his life going. When he arrived in the US in the early 2000s, he wanted to go back to India as there was no cricket played in the Maryland area, and he was unable to watch cricket matches when India was playing. Along with Murali, another founding member of HCCL, he started the cricket league in Howard County with 4 teams, and they invested much of their time to take cricket to the next level. Their love for cricket helped unite the cricket community, and paved way for future success.

Working alongside his friends, Murali and Falgun, they found ways to work with Howard County Rec and Park officials, and were able to get cricket on Howard County's sports list. It is because of them that cricket has flourished in Howard County, and now, there are about 40 teams registered in Howard County! Now, he is a member of the Howard County Cricket Board, and is striving to get required infrastructures, organize leagues and other cricket tournaments in Howard County.
